Mr. Seto founded MonotaRO Co., Ltd. and successfully had the company listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In addition, he has served as the representative director of several companies, accumulating abundant experience and extensive knowledge as a businessperson. After being appointed as Representative Executive Officer of the LIXIL group of companies in 2016, he led the LIXIL group’s growth by focusing its managerial resources on its core enterprise. This included reviewing the LIXIL group’s business portfolio, improving their balance sheets, enhancing synergies within the LIXIL group centered on the core operations of its Water business, and enhancing business competitiveness. After being reappointed as Representative Executive Officer (Chief Executive Officer) in June 2019, he has continued to proceed with the LIXIL group’s medium-term management plan, “TOWARD SUSTAINABLE GROWTH,” which was developed in 2017 through measures such as “focus on core business” and “Kawaranaito LIXIL” (“We must change LIXIL”). He is steadily forming a flexible organization with entrepreneurial spirit, as well as making further improvements to the balance sheet. For the fiscal year ended March 2021, although the Company is facing decline in revenue due to the effect of the spread of COVID-19, increase in profit is expected on the bottom line owing to the effect of our continued measures to reduce selling, general and administrative expenses. Mr. Seto has been nominated as candidate for Representative Executive Officer, President, and Chief Executive Officer, as he is expected to make a great contribution to the realization of the LIXIL group’s continued enhancement of corporate value even in uncertain business environment in the future and is best suited as the top executive of the Company.
Mr. Matsumoto has served as Representative Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Finance, Treasury, and M&A, supervising finance for the LIXIL group of companies in its entirety. In addition, he has served as the Chairperson for the council for deliberations on investments and loans of the LIXIL group and the council for deliberations on M&A matters, playing a key role in the internal decision-making process. On top of being responsible for the development of policies for the entire LIXIL group, such as the preparation of M&A plans and financial strategies, he has also contributed to achieving the medium-term management plan by advancing measures related to the enforcement of governance and improvement of operational efficiency in the areas that he is in charge of. Under the circumstance of the spread of COVID-19, he continues to demonstrate leadership in accounting and finance, such as stably securing operating funds and managing performance on a global basis. He has been nominated as candidate for Representative Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Finance, Treasury, and M&A, as he is best suited as LIXIL’s Chief Financial Officer to further the medium-term management plan in the future.
Ms. Montesano has led communications and engagements with various internal and external stakeholders of the LIXIL group of companies as Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Human Resources and General Affairs, Public Affairs, Investor Relations, External Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility. In addition to that, as the Chairperson of the Corporate Responsibility Committee, she has also been in charge of decision-making related to LIXIL’s corporate responsibility strategies. From June 2019 onwards, she has been leading the implementation of measures such as “Kawaranaito LIXIL” (“We must change LIXIL”) , as an Executive Officer in charge of Human Resources. In response to the new coronavirus infections, she is continuously taking the lead to implement various personnel measures that give first priority to the safety and security of internal and external stakeholders.She has been nominated as a candidate for Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Human Resources and General Affairs, Public Affairs, Investor Relations, External Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility, and Chief People Officer, as she is best suited to create organization towards sustainable growth in order to advance LIXIL’s medium-term management plan in the future.
Mr. Kanazawa has supervised the marketing strategy of the LIXIL group of companies as Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Marketing, Digital, and IT. He has contributed to improving the LIXIL group’s business performance through measures such as the introduction of sales techniques using digital technology and the review of mission-critical systems. In coping with COVID-19, he continues to lead various measures utilizing digital technology such as improvement of IT environment upon a major shift toward employees’ teleworking and introduction of online showrooms. He has been nominated as candidate for Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Marketing, Digital, and IT, as he is best suited as Chief Digital Officer of the Company to prepare and achieve company-wide strategies that enable LIXIL to maintain its future competitive strength by advancing its marketing and digital strategies, and overhauling mission-critical IT systems.
Mr. Mohan has demonstrated his abilities in areas such as emerging markets and global business development. In addition to that, he has been in charge of the supervision of general overseas businesses of LIXIL as Executive Vice President and LIXIL International Chief Executive Officer, and he has created synergies across business fields and regional frameworks, realizing business growth in multiple regions. In the fiscal year ending March 2021, he has lead overseas businesses in order to achieve optimal business operations for the LIXIL group of companies, taking into consideration the situation of each region, even under the circumstances where it was difficult to operate business in some areas due to the impact of the spread of the new coronavirus infections. He has been nominated as a candidate for Executive Vice President in charge of LIXIL International, as he is best suited to play a leading role in building business models and executing business strategies in overseas markets, where great growth opportunities for LIXIL business are expected in the future.
Mr. Yoshida has served as the manager of the Sales and Marketing Departments after joining LIXIL (then TOSTEM Corporation). After being appointed Chief Executive Officer of LIXIL Housing Technology Japan in 2017, he led the restructuring of the entire domestic Housing business organization, such as reforming the domestic sash business’ production system. He continues to lead measures for developing a business model which meets the changing needs of domestic consumers caused by the effect of the spread of COVID-19 and for enhancing competitiveness such as the platform development that has been proceeded for some time. He has been nominated as candidate for Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of LIXIL Housing Technology Japan as he is best suited to supervise the domestic Housing business, a core business of the Company, as well as promote future reforms in the domestic Building business, focusing on sashes for buildings, based on his abundant experience and past record in the Housing business.
Mr. Oonishi has served as a manager of the domestic Water business, in particular for the kitchen business after joining the Company (then INAX Corporation). After being appointed Chief Executive Officer of LIXIL Water Technology Japan in 2018, he has realized the improvement of its profit ratio through the development of differentiated products. He is implementing structural reform toward sustainable development through measures for “New Normal”, organizational reform and so forth which take into consideration the growing interest in contactless methods and devices as a result of the spread of COVID-19. He has been nominated as candidate for Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of LIXIL Water Technology Japan as he is best suited to supervise the domestic Water business, which is a core business of the Company.
In addition to years of experience as a lawyer, Ms. Kimijima has extensive experience serving in the legal departments of multiple corporations, such as GE Japan Corporation. After joining LIXIL Corporation in 2015, she led the compliance division, where she implemented the LIXIL Code of Conduct and introduced the global whistle-blower system, while contributing greatly to improving compliance at the LIXIL group of companies as Chief Compliance Officer. Since 2020, as Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Legal Affairs and Compliance, she has promoted strengthening of the basis of legal affairs and compliance in managing the LIXIL group and establishment of a global legal function. During the fiscal year ended March 2021, she has led legal affairs-related measures including business restructuring of the LIXIL group and mitigation of legal risks in the merger between LIXIL Group Corporation and LIXIL Corporation. She has been nominated as candidate for Executive Officer and Executive Vice President in charge of Legal Affairs and Compliance as she is best suited as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer of the Company in continuing to proceed with the medium-term management plan.
